Bruce Reid holds a BASc (Civil Engineering) from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the Ivey Business School, and a P.Eng. from the Province of Ontario.
He has held a series of senior executive positions in the paper, packaging equipment, paint, wallpaper, and retail industry in both the U.S. and Canada. Following an assignment to turnaround The Brick Warehouse Corp., Bruce retired from full-time employment in 1997. Since that time he has been active as a Director and/or consultant in; the restructuring of White Rose Ltd., AT&T Canada Inc., RTO Enterprises Inc., and Midnorther Group Inc.; the roll out of Ontario’s gaming activities and the merging of The Ontario Lottery Corp. and Ontario Casino Corp.; the sale of Mark’s Work Wearhouse to Canadian Tire; the start up of two software companies, and taught Strategic Management and Retail Management courses at the MBA level for The Richard Ivey, and Michael DeGroote Business Schools.
Bruce has served on a number of boards and also acted in the capacity of Chairman of Audit, Compensation, and Restructuring Committees. He is a Past Chairman of The Retail Council of Canada, Sybase Canada Inc., The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, W.H. Smith Canada Ltd. and Midnorthern Group Inc. Bruce is a founding faculty member of The Directors College and served as Executive in Residence at the Ivey Business School for 12 years. He currently sits on the boards of The Faithshire Financial Corp., Lynx Equity Ltd., ThoughtSpeed Inc., Cornerstone Equestrian Center Ltd., Payroll Funding Canada, the Ivey Business School (Emeritus) and is currently the Chairman of Refamco Inc..
