Tim MacDonald

Tim is an independent management consultant and senior advisor focusing on strategy, acquisitions and divestitures, and organization transformation. 

He was previously a Partner and leader in the EY-Parthenon Strategy & Transactions practice in Canada since 2012. Prior to that, he was the President of Kearney, a global management consulting firm, in Canada since 1999 and a Partner since 1995.  He was a leader in both the global Financial Services and Strategy practices at Kearney. Tim was instrumental in developing the firm’s acquisition integration approach and methodology.

Tim has 40 years of global management consulting experience in mergers, acquisitions & divestitures, business strategy and performance improvement across multiple industries, including consumer/retail, industrial products, transportation, telecommunications, and financial services. He has led many successful engagements for major strategic and private equity clients in Canada, the US, and Europe.

Tim has an HBA (1981) and MBA (1988) from the Ivey Business School at Western University. He currently serves on both the Ivey Advisory Board and the Ivey Foundation Board. In 2021, Tim received the Ivey Distinguished Service Award. He has also served on other non-profit and private boards.
