Tony Frost is an Associate Professor of Strategy and International Business. Tony completed his Ph.D. in International Business at MIT’s Sloan School of Management where he received the Gunnar Hedlund Award, a global competition for the best doctoral dissertation in international business. His research interests revolve around strategy and competition in a global context.
Tony’s teaching lies at the intersection of strategy and the global environment of business. Representative subjects include competitive advantage and growth, global strategy, and understanding the strategic implications of major external forces such as the business cycle, globalization and changes in regulation and public policy.
Tony has been selected as the recipient of the Lawrence G. Tapp MBA Award for Teaching Excellence eight times by students, the highest number in the history of the School. In 2007, he was a co-recipient of the Ivey Teaching Innovation Award for innovative curriculum design.
Currently The Ivey Academy’s Faculty Director of Executive Education for North America, Tony Frost has over a decade of global experience in the area of executive education. His client list includes Maple Leaf Foods, AltaLink, Intact Insurance, McCain Foods, Husky Energy, Manulife, TD Bank, OMERS, and LafargeHolcim Ltd.
