Students whose stocks are selected for inclusion in the Ivey Value Fund, either as immediate buys or as watchlisted stocks, are given the title of Ivey Value Fund Fellows. Inclusion signifies that their work has gone through a rigorous selection process by the fund's Advisory Board, Managing Director, and Fund Managers, as well as ranking at the top quartile in the Value Investing course. The Ivey Value Fund Fellow designation also signifies that these students have accepted responsibility for tracking and reporting on their stock picks after graduation.

Ajay Gopal is a 2013 graduate, with distinction, of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Ivey Business School at Western University located in London, Ontario, Canada. Currently, Ajay is a Senior Credit Analyst with East Coast Fund Management, a Toronto-based hedge fund. Julia is a graduate of the 2020 Ivey MBA Program. Alana Green
Alana completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Queen's. After finishing her thesis, she moved to Germany to live, work and travel. Upon returning to Canada she worked for a few years as manager at a Spine Surgery Research Centre in Saint John, NB. However, she wanted to continue to expand her skills in a faster-paced environment and deliver greater impact - in came the Ivey MBA. Value Investing was her favourite course at Ivey and she is very excited to have been selected as an Ivey Value Fund fellow. Ryan Grube
Ryan is a graduate of the 2016 Ivey HBA program. He has held numerous roles at RBC including a Macroeconomic Research Analyst role at RBC Dominion Securities, a Junior Operations Analyst role at RBC Technology and Operations, and a Trade Support Analyst role at RBC Global Asset Management. Davit is a firm follower of Value Investing principles. He is pursuing his master’s degree in Finance at Aalto University’s School of Business in Helsinki, Finland. He received the highest grades (5/5) from his bachelor’s thesis on “Value and Profitability Premium in the Finnish Stock Market” at Aalto University. Side by side his bachelor’s studies, he worked part time as a Service and Compensation Advisor at Local Tapiola Insurance Company. Robert Wang

Robert is a graduate of the HBA program at the Ivey Business School. He has worked in multiple industries including investment banking, asset management, and equity research where he developed financial modelling, market research, and data aggregation skills. Most recently he worked as a trading credit analyst, where he was responsible for the monitoring of daily credit risk positions. He also helped develop a trading credit model to help control the impact exposure measurements in the trading and non-trading products. Robert speaks fluent Mandarin and passed the CFA exam level III.
Taylor Whitehouse
Taylor is a graduate of the MBA class of 2019. He is presently a Consultant with Boston Consulting Group and joined the firm in 2019. At BCG, Taylor has helped major public companies transform their organizations and build out advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities. Prior to Ivey, Taylor graduated from the Wilfrid Laurier University's BBA program in 2013, and following that worked at PepsiCo Beverages Canada in a variety of finance roles with progressive responsibility. During his time at Ivey, Taylor was an Executive Director for The LEADER Project, an organization that teaches two week boot camps focused on entrepreneurship in developing and emerging economies. Taylor continues to support the LEADER Project as a member of its Advisory Board.
Siyuan (Derrick) Wong
Siyuan is an undergraduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) program at National University of Singapore (NUS). Siyuan works at the group investment and treasury department of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (iDA Singapore). He monitors and performs fundamental analysis for the group’s investment portfolios. His main focus is on North American and Asian equities. Beyond work, Siyuan has started his own value portfolio to apply the principles that are taught at The Ben Graham Centre for Value Investing.
Cheryl Wu, CFA
Cheryl is a graduate in the Ivey MBA class of 2021. Prior to the program, she worked as a professional accountant for over 7 years, in both public practice and the energy industry. Cheryl also received her CFA Charter in 2017.
Andriy Yastreb
Prior to pursuing MBA at Ivey, Andriy had a diverse investment and equity research experience, most recently working as an Investment Analyst at a mutual fund in the Philippines. His prior experience includes being an equity research analyst covering agricultural and consumer goods sectors in Ukraine and working as an Associate at Shamrock Activist Value Fund (USA), where he received initial introduction to value investing and investor activism. Andriy has a Bachelors degree in Management from National Agricultural University of Ukraine and a Masters degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University in the USA. He has also passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
George Yuan

George graduated from the Ivey HBA program in 2018 and now works in corporate development. George’s interest for investing started with reading books on Warren Buffett and Seth Klarman. Outside of school and work, George enjoys cooking, hiking, and travelling.
Arete Zafiriou
Arete is a graduate of the Master of Financial Economics program at the University of Western Ontario, class of 2017. She spent her summer internship on the trading floor at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where she learnt about different asset classes and trading strategies. She also holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. Arete is currently an Associate Portfolio Advisor and Exchange Traded Fund Analyst within the Portfolio Advisory Group at RBC Dominion Securities. She is a CFA Level III Candidate.
Jesse Zender
Jesse is a graduate of the HBA Class of 2021. Before starting at Ivey, he studied economics. While at Ivey, Jesse held several extracurricular positions, including Co-President of DECA Western (one of Western’s largest business clubs), Editor & Author for the Ivey Business Review (a student-run business strategy publication), and Teaching Assistant in Ivey’s Finance 3303K course. He is currently working as an Associate at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Prior to joining BCG, Jesse worked at Oliver Wyman and interned at Clearco and Capital One.
Alan Zhu

Alan is a graduate of the Ivey HBA Class of 2019. Prior to completing the HBA program, Alan worked as a summer research analyst at a long-short equity fund overseas in Shanghai. Alan currently works at Portland Investment Counsel where he has assisted with multiple due diligence processes within the TMT sector. Through these experiences, Alan has developed his skills in valuations and financial modelling and is working towards becoming a CFA charterholder. Outside of the office, Alan enjoys playing basketball and spending time outdoors.
