Basic Page Type (The Grid)

The Basic Page Type is the default option for most pages you will create on the website.

Basic Pages are built on the Grid, which allows editors the ability to customize the design to suit their needs.

The Grid

All text, media, and assets are arranged in a grid underneath the title bar or banner.

Content is comprised of rows and columns, hence the name "The Grid".

Rows

Each row may contain between one and three columns horizontally. There are five design options for a row:

Full Width Content

Full width content goes from the left edge of your browser's window to the right edge. This content will often have a background colour or image that takes advantage of this extra space. Full width content will always be a Page Asset, and must be selected using the asset picker in Umbraco.

Please contact web@ivey.ca for help with creating or editing full width content.

NOTE: Full width content primarily takes advantage of large desktop screens. Most smaller screen types (laptop, tablet, and phone) can only view the space visible in container width content. We often need to provide an alternative version of full width content that displays appropriately on smaller screens.
