Profiles

Profiles are used to feature people who are involved with the school.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Faculty
  • Students
  • Graduates
  • Staff
  • Board Members

Profiles exist inside what we call a Profile Subsite System. A Profile Subsite System has two parts:

  1. Profile Listing
  2. Full Profiles

Editors have permission to create, edit, or delete profiles but new Profile Subsite Systems must be set up by an Administrator.

You may request a Profile Subsite System from Digital Services by emailing us at web@ivey.ca.

Profile Listing

Each Profile Subsite System has one listing page, which shows all profiles included within that system. We will use the MBA Student Ambassadors for our example.

Here's a part of what their listing page looks like:There are two styles of listings - narrow (as seen above) and wide (as seen below). The narrow style fits four profiles across on large screens, whereas a wide profile fits just two.

Customizations for Profile Listings

In addition to the style of listing, an Editor may also select which information appears on each profile listed:

  • Professional Title and Company: This will display the title and company fields from a profile, if available. (Content tab)
  • Bio Excerpt: This will display the biography excerpt for a profile, if available. (Advanced tab)
  • Social Profiles: This will display any social media links available for a profile. (Advanced tab)

  • Location: This will output the location field for a profile, if available. (advanced tab)

Editors may also customize the listing page with the following features:

  • Link to Profile Page: If this is checked, the full name of each individual on the listing page links to the individual's full profile. (Content tab)
  • Enable Real-time Search: If this is checked, a text box appears at the top of the listings with real-time search. (Advanced tab)
  • Hide Photos: Photos are shown by default. If this field is checked, then photos are not shown. (Advanced tab)
