Are business schools relevant in an age of disruption?
After extensive interviews with leaders in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, Ivey researchers from the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership, the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, and the Centre for Building Sustainable Value are ready to share their findings on the implications of disruption on business schools and curriculum.
We will examine how business leaders across industries, geographies and demographics are thinking about and responding to disruption, and most pressingly, debate the implications for business schools in this new environment.

Charles brings unique insights into how business leaders can succeed in an age of disruption. Charles Brindamour is Chief Executive Officer of Intact Financial Corporation, the largest provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada and a leading provider of specialty insurance in North America. He began his career with Intact in 1992 and has held progressively senior roles, in Canada and abroad, within Intact and its former affiliates, including Senior Vice President of Personal Lines, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Brindamour was appointed President and CEO in January, 2008. Under Mr. Brindamour’s leadership, the company became an independent and widely-held Canadian company in 2009 and two years later, acquired AXA Canada; the largest acquisition in the history of Canada’s property and casualty insurance industry. Mr. Brindamour is a graduate of Laval University in Actuarial Sciences and an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He is a board member of Intact Financial Corporation, the C.D. Howe Institute, Branksome Hall, the Geneva Association and the Business Council of Canada. He also serves on the advisory board of Gibraltar Growth Corporation. |
