Selfie with a kangaroo – checked off my Australian bucket list.
This semester, instead of staying at Ivey for the “recruiting semester,” I decided to go on my first CEMS exchange to Sydney, Australia. The semester kicked off with the Surf Camp, where I really got to learn more about my new classmates and have an amazing time learning how to surf!

I decided to become the Head of the Marketing team of the CEMS Club Sydney, which involves keeping all the social media up to date, ordering the CEMS hoodies, sending out monthly newsletters, making videos of our adventures down under, and creating the CEMS yearbook.

I am constantly searching for places to visit or events to attend in the busy city of Sydney. I have been to Bondi Beach, fed kangaroos in Morisset Park, did the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk, and recently hiked through the Blue Mountains National Park.

I have attended many events throughout the semester where I got to connect with people from companies such as Google, Nestlé, Hilti, Commonwealth Bank, NAB and Airtasker. A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Social Good Summit 2016 hosted at the University of Sydney Business School, where I heard from different guest speakers and entrepreneurs about the impact of social good initiatives around the world. What I love about Sydney is that there is always so much to do, no matter what your interests are.

One of the highlights of my time so far on exchange is attending the Asia Pacific Forum hosted at NUS in Singapore in September. It was an excellent opportunity to network with corporate partners and participate in case study competitions and workshops. The greatest part about attending the forum was being able to meet other CEMS students from all around the world who are also currently doing their CEMS exchange in either Australia, India, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, or Beijing.

My semester is coming to an end and I cannot believe how fast it passed. I feel like I made the right choice deciding to participate in two CEMS exchanges because there is so much I have already gained from studying in Australia and I know there are many more experiences to come in my following CEMS exchange in Vienna, Austria next semester.
