In his op-ed for The Globe and Mail, Professor George Athanassakos analyzed the evolution of value investing, paying particular attention to the development of Warren Buffett’s investment strategy.
Buffett’s returns have declined in comparison to his returns early on in his career, as a result of his less-opportunistic approach to value investing.
“Value investing has evolved over time, not because anything has changed or that the rules of the game have changed, but mostly because the demographics and the size of assets under management of some of the key players have changed,” said Athanassakos.
