Researchers have developed new wearable nanotechnology designed to keep you from having to raise your thermostat above 13 C. Since a large portion of energy used by furnaces and personal heaters is wasted on heating empty space, the wearable nanotechnology could cut energy usage by 41 per cent per person.
Marketing professor Matt Thomson discusses the benefits of the nanowire-embedded clothing, saying it could revolutionize cold-weather activity and help people with poor circulation maintain a comfortable temperature everywhere they go.
