With all the chaos of Black Friday over, Cyber Monday arrives in full force. Traditionally an American shopping frenzy sparked from the U.S. Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday have now become pervasive for Canadian shoppers and retailers.
Cautioning consumers to shop responsibly this holiday season, The London Free Press turned to Professor Emeritus Ken Hardy for his insights on this annual spending mania and the convenience of online shopping.
“It’s mutually satisfying for both buyers and sellers to participate. Just like the Americans, we want to do our Christmas shopping and the deals look good,” said Hardy. “For some people shopping is a sport, and it’s being turbocharged by technology.”
