As a result, many MBA schools have dramatically increased their spot openings to international students. Kennedy explained why Ivey goes against the grain by cutting down the size of the MBA program to preserve the quality of the class.
“Ivey has very consciously said we think we know what the optimal mix is and we’re going to keep the bar very high,” said Kennedy. “Even if it means a smaller class, that’s fine, because we think quality is more important than quantity.”
