The London Free Press covered the news of a 10-day agri-food trade mission to China this month that could considerably benefit Southwestern Ontario in expanding its export business.
Professor David Sparling, Chair of Agri-Food @ Ivey, is naturally pleased about this trade mission and its potential.
“Anything that raises our profile and raises the profile of our products is really good for us,” he said.
Sparling, although not personally joining the trade mission, addressed the importance of face-to-face ventures in the trade business and the strategy involved.
“It’s a tough market, it really is. It’s not to be approached lightly,” he said.
