The speculations are growing around Apple Inc.’s new Ottawa-based research and development centre and how the company might woo new employees to the site.
Apple has already been luring talent from some of the world’s top car companies to the new 22,000-square-foot space that could employ as many as 200 people.
Associate Professor Glenn Rowe, Executive Director of Ivey Publishing, told the Ottawa Citizen high-performers from one organization may not perform up to the same standards somewhere else.
“Apple has a lot of money and a lot of free cash, and if they want to spend it won’t hurt them, but it may not work out in the long run,” he said.
