Ontario's budget gave markets what they wanted to see: A 2015-16 deficit come in less than forecasted, a reduction in the 2016-17 deficit, and, a commitment to a balanced budget in 2017-18.
Ivey Assistant Professor Mike Moffatt was in the budget lockup when Ontario Finance Minister Charles Sousa delivered the province's budget on February 25. Moffatt provided his Ontario budget analysis in an op-ed for Canadian Business and in an article in the Windsor Star.
