The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2013 stood at 55.3. The corresponding figure for June 2012 was 49.0 and for June 2011 was 59.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June stood at 49.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 51.6, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 39.8 and Prices were 59.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of June is 56.6, Employment 53.8, Inventories 51.2, Supplier Deliveries 43.9 and Prices 58.8.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
