LONDON, ON, September 16, 2013 – Ivey’s Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership will benefit from the addition of a new leadership expert who is one of 11 new full-time faculty members hired to expand the School’s research and teaching programs.
Ann Peng holds the new Troost Professorship in Leadership, an award established by Kathleen and William (Bill) Troost, MBA ’75, to support leadership-themed research. She will be affiliated with the Ihnatowycz Institute, which focuses on research, teaching and outreach on the essential leadership competencies, character traits and level of commitment that create value in organizations. Peng brings a wealth of expertise on issues such as justice, work stress, ethics, conflict management, negotiation and intercultural interactions. She received her PhD in Management from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree from Lingnan University of Hong Kong.

Rod White, Ivey’s Associate Dean, Faculty Development & Research, said the new faculty members will help the School to achieve its vision of growth and impact on a global scale.

In addition to Peng, Ivey welcomes the following new faculty members to the School:
Kersi Antia, Associate Professor of Marketing, joins Ivey from the University of Wisconsin Madison. His research focuses on the management of inter‐organizational relations, particularly contractual relationships in franchising and alliances;
Lauren Cipriano, Assistant Professor of Management Science, researches the application of statistics, economics, operations research, and systems analysis to health policy problems;
Caroline Flammer, Assistant Professor, General Management, was a post-doctoral researcher at MIT Sloan School of Management, before joining Ivey. She is an expert on corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, and international business and her research focuses on whether and how companies’ social engagement can create value and improve competitiveness;
Ken Goh, Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour, is a former investment banker and co-founder of a for-profit social enterprise. He researches dynamic group processes;
Amos Nadler, Assistant Professor of Finance, is a former senior researcher at the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies at Claremont Graduate University and founder of a health-care marketing and strategy company. His research focuses on hormones and economic decision-making and he is an expert on behavioural economics and behavioural finance;
Saurin Patel, Assistant Professor of Finance, researches empirical asset pricing, investments, behavioural and forensic finance;
Brian Pinkham, Assistant Professor, General Management, joins Ivey from Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University where he was a visiting Assistant Professor of Strategy. With a background in both business and law, he specializes in international business, emerging markets, contracts and cross-border transactions, and legal institutions;
Davin Raiha, Assistant Professor, Business, Economics and Public Policy, researches corporate strategy and public policy-making;
Binny Samuel, Assistant Professor of Information Systems, researches human factor issues that affect the way individuals collaborate to build and use information systems;
Andreas Schotter, Assistant Professor, General Management Education, joins Ivey from Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he was an award-winning Assistant Professor of Strategic Management. Schotter specializes in international business, dynamic strategy development and execution, innovation and integrity management, boundary spanning leadership, and headquarters-subsidiary management in multinational corporations. He is the Academic Director of the new Ivey-China University of Political Science and Law Executive MBA in Beijing, China, which focuses on case-based leadership and legal practices in international business.
