The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2017 stood at 59.6. The corresponding figure for September 2016 was 58.4 and for September 2015 was 53.8.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September stood at 59.4. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.5; and Prices were 52.4.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of September is 68.6; Employment 62.8; Inventories 57.9; Supplier Deliveries 47.7; and Prices 60.3.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of August 2017 stood at 56.3. The corresponding figure for August 2016 was 52.3 and for August 2015 was 58.0. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for August stood at 55.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 57.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 47.6; and Prices were 59.9.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
