On January 10, Ivey MSc students had the opportunity to chat with a Canadian politician.
The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Trade, visited Ivey to talk with the International Business, CEMS MIM, and Business Analytics students. Rather than a prepared formal presentation, Champagne took questions from the students and had an open, candid discussion about Canada, international trade, and diversification.
Champagne opened the discussion by describing the two main roles a Minister of International Trade has: promoting Canada abroad and opening up market access.
The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Andreas Schotter, as part of the International Lecture Series in International Business. The event was hosted by the Ivey International Business Institute.
