It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John F. Wood, HBA '64, on December 25, surrounded by his family in Guelph, Ontario.
"John had an inspiring passion for business and cared deeply about community," said Acting Dean Mark Vandenbosch. "He enjoyed staying connected to Ivey, graciously accepting numerous opportunities to be a guest in class, hosting students at his factory, chairing his class reunion committee, serving as a member of the Ivey Advisory Board, and recently, establishing the John F. Wood Centre for Innovation in Business Learning. John’s exceptional generosity will play a key role in the future of business education in Canada and will be appreciated by generations to come."
John enjoyed a successful business career spanning more than five decades, including senior leadership roles in real estate development and appliance manufacturing. Through the W.C. Wood Foundation, John was an ardent supporter of Ivey for many years.
