A group of 34 students began a historic journey together as the inaugural cohort in Ivey’s new Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) program.
Combining online learning with in-class sessions, the 12-month, while-you-work program is designed for professionals who want to advance their career by applying data to solve real-world business challenges.
The program kicked off with orientation activities and a welcome event at Ivey’s Spencer Leadership Centre on September 7 where the students were greeted by Lyn Purdy, Associate Dean, Programs; MMA Program Faculty Director Greg Zaric; and other MMA faculty. Then the students will begin classes and participate in team-building activities for the remainder of their residence week.
“I am thrilled to welcome the first cohort of our new Master of Management – Analytics program. The program has been designed to enable participants to provide analytics leadership within their organizations,” said Zaric. “We are welcoming an outstanding group of participants who will spend the next year studying business and analytics, with an emphasis on case learning, which is unique in this type of program.”
The MMA students come from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a look at the class by the numbers.
