Business leader Don McDougall, MBA ’61, LLD ’16, has been appointed a Member of the Order of Canada "for his visionary leadership as the founding director of the Toronto Blue Jays club, and for his entrepreneurship and philanthropy."
McDougall served as president of London’s Labatt’s Brewery when it launched the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball franchise in 1977, and is the former owner of Stratford-based aerospace manufacturer Novatronics and founder of Rambri Management. Earlier this year, McDougall was named Business Leader of the Year at the Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Excellence Awards.
McDougall also chaired Western’s Board of Governors from 2004 to 2005, and served as a member of Ivey's Advisory Board from 2004 to 2013.
