The 67 students who make up the MSc Class of 2025 kicked off the program today with a glimpse at how the MSc will make an impact on their future careers. The class includes 40 students in the International Business stream as well as 27 students doing the CEMS MIM. There are also 30 CEMS exchange students visiting Ivey from 21 different partner CEMS schools.
The students were welcomed by Assistant Professor Warren Ritchie, MSc Program Faculty Director, and Associate Professor Lyn Purdy, Associate Dean, Programs, who each told them they’re beginning a remarkable journey.
“The MSc program will equip you with in-demand emerging organizational capabilities, in particular cross-cultural acumen, that keep pace with practice so you’re ready to drive transformation in the organizations you’ll join,” said Ritchie.
Noting that Ivey brings the world into classroom, Purdy said the program combines real-world cases with hands-on industry experience so the students will be prepared to tackle the critical issues facing business and society. She also told how the students’ combined international experiences will allow them to learn from each other throughout the program.
“By working with people from different cultures and backgrounds on international learning teams, you’ll learn different points of view to help widen your lens,” she said.
Ivey’s new MSc students come from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a look at the MSc Class of 2025 by the numbers.
