Ivey alumni named Canada’s Most Powerful Women

Three Ivey alumni are among Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2024. The Ivey recipients, in two different categories of the annual list from the Women's Executive Network (WXN), are being recognized for making a transformational difference in their fields and actively shaping a more inclusive future. They include Tina Lee, HBA '03, Sabrina Liak, HBA '01, and Kathy Zhang, HBA '15. The women will be honoured at the Top 100 Awards Gala at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto on November 27.

Category: Canada’s Most Powerful CEOs, presented by Postmedia (Recognizing Canadian Female CEOs who are the compelling force behind their organizations)

Tina has led T&T, Canada’s largest Asian specialty grocery chain, through its fastest-growing years, including its latest expansion into the U.S. Tina was recently inducted into the Grocery Business Hall of Fame and received the Grand Prix Trailblazer Lifetime Achievement Award by the Retail Council of Canada. She has served as Co-Chair of the Covid-19 Business Recovery Leadership Council for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and on the Canada/ United States Council for the Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders.

Co-Founder, KITS Eyecare Ltd.; CEO, Aloi Capital

Sabrina Liak is Co-Founder of KITS Eyecare and CEO of Aloi Capital, an investment firm founded to invest in and build exceptional, high-growth enterprises. KITS is one such investment and was founded following a 14-year investment career at Goldman Sachs in New York, where Sabrina was a founding member of Goldman’s growth equity business and supported dozens of entrepreneurs through periods of rapid growth and scaling. She received an HBA from The Ivey School of Business.
