By easing some of the financial burden, the Diane Bischof Memorial HBA Scholarship allowed HBA student David Pearson to better immerse himself in the Ivey community and engage in extracurricular activities.
Established through a generous estate gift from Diane Bischof, HBA ’81, the scholarship is awarded annually to an HBA student based on academic achievement, demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, and aptitude for developing a family business.
Pearson says receiving the scholarship has strengthened his sense of belonging, motivated him to excel in the program, and inspired him to give back to others.
“It was the community at Ivey that brought me here. It’s rare to find a place that fosters innovation and also really cares about its students and has their best interests in mind,” he said. “I hope to foster that same spirit of innovation in my professional career and contribute to the communities I’m involved in.”
