Marina A. Schmitz works as a research associate and lecturer at the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM) at the CBS International Business School in Cologne, Germany. She lectures in Sustainable Management, Asian Business, and Intercultural Management. Her research focus is in CSR in Emerging Economies, CSR and HRM, and sustainability in higher education. After graduating at the University of Trier (Germany) in Business Administration and Sinology, she worked as a research associate at the Chair of Human Resources Management and Asian Business at the University of Goettingen. Her dissertation deals with the voluntary labor turnover phenomenon of Chinese factory workers. She is involved various research projects and engaged in networks like PRME, ESSSR, and NBS to boost responsible management. She has also been involved in the organization of sustainability conferences and has experience in consulting projects initiating the implementation of sustainable business models.
