Scotiabank International Case Competition
We believe in learning-by-doing. Each year, we bring in students from all over the world to the Ivey Business School campus in London Ontario, and challenge them with a real-world case. They have to use rigorous analytical thinking and creative skills to help an organization update its strategy to create value for its stakeholders going forward.
Student Engagement
We regularly offer students opportunities to see how things are done in the real world. To that end, we take them to places that matter – including organizational headquarters, innovation labs, startup basements, or to the farmlands that feed us all – so they can see by themselves which challenges await us and talk face-to-face with the entrepreneurs, innovators, and decision-makers who are on a mission to change the status quo.
Executive Education
The faculty affiliated with the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab regularly develops teaching and training modules on fintech-related topics for corporate executives and government. These modules are delivered through The Ivey Academy, sometimes in collaboration with other educational institutions.
Ivey Cases
FinTech is evolving rapidly, driven by advances in real-time data analytics, digital payments, and cryptographic infrastructure. While this innovation presents significant opportunities, it also raises important questions around risk, regulation, and system resilience. In response, we are developing applied, case-based materials that bridge technological change with real-world decision-making—equipping students, practitioners, and leaders with the tools to navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape.
