Hack Western is one of Canada’s largest annual student run hackathons, taking place at Western University. Hack Western 4 will welcome more than 500 students from November 17th to 19th, 2017. Participants will collaborate in teams of up to four to build web, mobile, and hardware projects, while participating in workshops, learning from mentors and competing for prizes. This year, Hack Western is introducing the FinTech track, presented by Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab at Ivey, to educate students about leading financial technologies and help participants build Blockchain-enabled projects. With this year’s event focused on turning ideas into reality, hackers will additionally receive guidance on how to generate, implement, and pitch a sustainable business practice.
